Inis Cealtra Visitor ExperienceDiscover the Island's Story Nestled in the tranquil fishing village of Mountshannon, the Inis Cealtra Visitor Experience awaits. Housed in the beautifully restored Old Rectory, a protected redbrick building dating back to 1905, the experience offers stunning views of Mountshannon Harbour, Scarriff Bay and Lough Derg. This landmark structure, prominently positioned overlooking the harbour and lake, has been transformed into an engaging interpretive space. Inside visitors can explore the rich history of Inis Cealtra, its past communities, and its enduring significance to Mountshannon and the surrounding region. The visitor centre features a welcoming reception area, three distinct exhibition spaces, café and a revitalised Rectory Garden.
